Collar Sizes: Collars are available in most designs
in all sizes except for when not practical. Certain small trims would look
lost on a large dog and other large width trims would be impractical or
uncomfortable on a small dog or cat. The fabric selection of collars may
be more comfortable for your pet in wider sizes as opposed to leather or
nylon collars that your pet is accustomed to wearing. Each collar selection
will specify the available sizes and widths.
Leash Sizes: A longer leash can be made on request.
Generally, a shorter leash is used for a smaller pet or closer control.
A longer leash would be used for a larger dog and/or more range. A longer
leash may become tangled using it for a small dog while a short leash may
be too restricting for a larger dog.
Cat Collars: Breakaway buckles are specially designed
for cats. If their collar catches on something, the cat's twisting or struggling
action causes the buckle to open, freeing the cat, preventing it from choking.
These buckles have a flat "latch" on one side. Please, NEVER
use a breakaway collar with a leash.
Care Instructions: Hand washing and line drying are
recommended for the fabric collars. Spot cleaning is reccomended for the
trim collars and other collars offered. A steam iron can be used to smooth
out most cotton fabrics. Use an iron on a lower setting for silk and satin
collars. As with any collar, periodic inspection should be made for wear
and tear. Collars are not recommended for tying animal out.
*At CANINE COLLARS, we will try our best to
honor any special requests and are open to suggestions. We can also accommodate
any special sizing requests. Our collars are available in a large variety
of styles in fabric and select trims. All collars and leashes are constructed
on industrial machines with top quality materials and strong matching threads:
doublestiching is done at pressure points. To determine your pets size, measure
his neck to the size you feel is most comfortable, adding an inch or two
for comfort. If the measurement is close to the end of a size, select the
next size up. Crystal Name Collars and Luxe Leather collars don't allow
as much leeway for sizes so PLEASE measure your pet's neck carefully
and order the next size up if measurement is to the end of one size. Please
note that samples for the fabric collars are shown larger than actual
collar widths. Also larger prints won't show as well on a 1/2" wide
collar as they will on a 1" wide collar. We try to only use smaller
scale prints to accomadate these restrictions. We try our best to center
patterns on the collars. All cat collars include a quick release buckle,
D-ring and a bell. All collars are adjustable.
